TerraMaster D5 Hybrid 5-Bay DAS Enclosure

The TerraMaster D5 Hybrid is a versatile 5-bay DAS enclosure designed to combine high-capacity storage with fast NVMe performance. It accommodates two 3.5" or 2.5" SATA drives alongside three M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs, providing up to 68 TB of total storage. This hybrid architecture allows large HDDs to be used for archives and backups while NVMe SSDs handle frequently accessed files, applications, and demanding workloads.

A USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C interface provides bandwidth of up to 10 Gb/s, with read speeds of up to 980 MB/s from NVMe SSDs and up to 960 MB/s in a SATA SSD RAID 0 configuration. The enclosure supports RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD, and Single Disk modes for the two SATA drives, with automatic RAID rebuilding available for added convenience.

The D5 Hybrid is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux and also supports USB 3.0, USB 3.1, USB4, Thunderbolt 3, and Thunderbolt 4 connections. TPC Backupper software enables scheduled incremental and differential backups on Windows systems. Tool-free installation simplifies the replacement of SATA drives, while a sliding cover provides convenient access to the M.2 slots.

An intelligent 80 mm fan adjusts its speed according to the operating load, supporting effective cooling while maintaining a noise level of approximately 19 dB(A). Its compact 222 × 119 × 154 mm design makes the enclosure suitable for desks, offices, and home workspaces where flexible, high-capacity external storage is required.
