The TerraMaster D4-320 is a 4-bay DAS enclosure for expanding storage with 3.5" HDDs, 2.5" HDDs or 2.5" SSDs. It supports drives of up to 22 TB each, providing a total capacity of up to 88 TB. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C interface offers bandwidth of up to 10 Gb/s, with combined transfer speeds of up to 1016 MB/s when four drives are installed. The TerraMaster D4-320 provides four drive bays for expanding storage with SATA 3.5" HDDs, 2.5" HDDs or 2.5" SSDs. Each bay supports drives of up to 22 TB, allowing a total capacity of up to 88 TB. This makes the enclosure suitable for large multimedia libraries, backups, creative projects and business archives.

A USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C interface provides bandwidth of up to 10 Gb/s. With four drives installed, combined read and write performance can reach up to 1016 MB/s, while a single SSD can exceed 500 MB/s. The D4-320 does not include hardware RAID and operates in Single Disk mode, so each installed drive appears separately to the operating system. RAID configurations can instead be created using compatible software.

Tool-free drive trays and TerraMaster's Push-Lock mechanism allow drives to be installed and removed quickly. Hot-swap support also enables drive replacement without shutting down the enclosure. A 120 mm fan with automatic speed control regulates cooling according to drive temperature, while the internal design helps reduce vibration and operating noise. In standby mode, the noise level is below 21 dB(A).

The enclosure supports NTFS, APFS, exFAT, FAT32 and EXT4 file systems and can connect to systems supporting USB 4, USB 3.2, USB 3.1, USB 3.0, Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4. Automatic disk sleep reduces power consumption when the drives are not in use, making the D4-320 a practical solution for both desktop and professional storage expansion.
