Who is Darth Vader?
Considered the greatest villain in film history, Darth Vader is the protagonist of George Lucas' Star Wars franchise. His distinctive features include a black helmet, armor, cape, and his iconic mechanical breathing. Born Anakin Skywalker, he was a slave on the planet Tatooine until he was nine years old. He was rescued by Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, who apprenticed him, but a deep anger fueled by personal tragedy led the then Jedi Knight to the dark side of the Force, where he became an apprentice to the evil Darth Sidious.
