SIKU VW Beetle

In 1945, the first VW Beetle in Wolfsburg rolled off the production line - and took everyone's hearts by storm right away, as the small and cuddly car paired great looks with, above all, affordability and extra sturdiness plus power. The Beetle, as it was christened by a New York Times reporter, quickly became an absolute cult classic. 1998 witnessed the substitution of the original "Beetle" by the reinterpreted "New Beetle.” Finally, after 70 years and more than 22 million made, the last unit left the VW plant in Puebla, Mexico. And now it has been immortalised in siku’s fleet: We are unveiling the small cult car with the iconic, round shapes for the first time as a detailed replica in blister size. The body of the "Ovali" is made of robust metal, while the tyres have been produced from high-quality rubber.
