The exposed 135-degree two-part self-centering tip of the drill head combines active cutting with perfect centering without displacement for maximum precision. With the two-part tip, it is also unnecessary to mark pilot holes in advance or pilot bore up to 10 mm. This precision-ground drill head, made of HSS (high-speed steel), provides up to 40% faster drilling and up to 50% lower clamping pressure than standard ground HSS cutting edge drill heads. The long ground HSS spiral drill bit is manufactured according to DIN 340. The type N (notch angle) of the drill head has a 135-degree tip and a diameter tolerance of h8. This drill head is designed for drilling deep holes in alloyed and non-alloyed steel, cast steel, cast iron, sintered iron, reduced cast iron, non-ferrous metals and hard plastic. It has a cylindrical shaft system (the shaft has the same diameter as the drill head) and is intended for use in boring stands and screwdrivers
